In 2009 I presented a seminar series, with four events focussing on preferred shares and a more general lecture dealing with fixed income in general.

While some time has passed since the material in these seminars was prepared, I have always eschewed the standard "buy this 'cause it's good" style of many investment media and have concentrated my efforts on describing tools that are useful in the analysis of investments. You will have to judge the success of these endeavors for yourselves!

These were a lot of fun to do and were an artistic success, by which I mean that they didn't actually bring in any money. So I haven't done any more since, but times may always change! Sometime I'd like to do one on Annuities; the nature of risk would be an interesting topic; so would the substandard nature of "success" calculations in financial planning ...
